Meet Syed Abbas and Analiese Eicher for State Assembly District 46

For today’s Meet the Candidates show, Wednesday host Carousel Bayrd speaks with two candidates running for Wisconsin State Assembly District 46.

Syed Abbas has served on the Madison Common Council representing District 12 since 2019. In 2021, he was elected by fellow alders as president of the council. As a city alder, he has championed sustainability and environmental justice, education initiatives, and policies that support the local economy during the pandemic.

Analiese Eicher has served on the Dane County Board of Supervisors since 2018 and was County Board chair from January 2020 to April 2022. Her leadership priorities include protecting voting rights, ensuring fair maps, fighting for student loan debt relief, and making sure local government is responsive to the community’s needs.
