“The Latinas and Black women I see here in Wisconsin, we’re one-of-a-kind.”

That’s Araceli Esparza, the founder of Midwest Mujeres Collective, a women-led organization that provides networking, mentoring, financial education, and professional development to Latinas and Black women in the Midwest.

Today, she joins Tuesday host Ali Muldrow for a wide-ranging discussion. They offer honest and raw reactions to the latest news about Roe v. Wade, talk about the problems with the non-profit industrial complex and the wage gap, share poetry, and celebrate the extraordinary contributions of women of color in Wisconsin.

The Yo Quiero Dinero, Mujeres for Wealth & Wellness Networking Event is taking place on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 9AM to 1PM at 1055 East Mifflin Street in Madison. More information available here.

Araceli Esparza is a poet, diversity and equity consultant, and the founder and owner of Midwest Mujeres Collective. She was named Wisconsin’s Most Influential Latina in 2018 and is a champion of health, justice, and equality.
