Wisconsin Farmers, Local Produce, and Global Recipes

The Dane County Farmers Market–you know, the one that circles the capitol from mid-April to mid-November–turned 50 last year. With the semi-centennial anniversary, The Dane County Farmers Market Cookbook was created. The book features recipes from venders and highlights ingredients that can be found at the market.

Joining host Douglas Haynes to talk about the cookbook are fruit farmer Henry Morren and market manager Jamie Bugel. They discuss the end of the outdoor market season and the community built at the market.

Author Terese Allen will be speaking with David Ahrens on WORT’s Madison Book Beat on December 4th at 1pm. Terese will be autographing cookbooks from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the 12/2 and 12/9 holiday markets at Monona Terrace.
